Well, we did it! We have chosen a second little male Havanese to add to our family. He is a little chocolate parti and is 3 weeks old. We think we are going to name him Hershey. I know it's corny, but we couldn't resist. These pictures were taken yesterday when we went to visit the babies.
Thank you everyone. We are pretty darned excited. Now comes the waiting. I am ok with that though. Get the cold of February out of the way and hopefully start seeing some milder weather by the time potty training starts.
Thank you all and thanks for the nice words about the name choice. There is nothing sweeter than Hershey Kisses except Havy Kisses. It just seemed right for a chocolate Havanese.
Oh my goodness! ADORABLE!!! I love having two dogs (we have two Golden Retrievers). We're waiting on #3 (our Havi baby) and I'm having a hard time pretending that I'm not impatient. Hershey is the CUTEST name. Thanks for the picture (it makes waiting so much easier...almost:smile2
Wow, 2 Goldens and a Hav, you will be a busy lady. When does your little one come home? It is so hard, the waiting. Our breeder said she would send lots of pictures as they grow so that will be fun getting the updates. They change so much in those early weeks, their look and their little personalities it is amazing.

He's so cute and I love the name! All these puppy pictures are driving me nuts! I really want another but I have to stand firm. I at least have to get Willow better trained before I even think of another.
Karen I still pull up Ollies baby shots often. You forget how tiny they were and what they looked like and its fun to look back and remember. It usually bring back funny memories of things he used to do that he has grown out of. Love the puppy stage.
Congratulations. Little Hershey is soooo cute and I think the name is perfect. What an exciting time. Where you able to bring Ollie with you to meet the puppies or are they too young for that?
He's so cute congratulations! Now you'd better start preparing Oliver on the new addition. Do the introductions in the best way possible and ensure that they know that you love them both. All the best with everything
Thank you all. Laurmann we didn't take Ollie because the new babies are only three weeks. I don't think the breeder would like that, I didn't even consider it. She also had dad there and some other females so I wanted to be able to concentrate on the pups and the breeder without having to concentrate on Ollie in a new environment. We actually started making some changes with Ollie this weekend. We had a very large crate for him when he was a baby. One we could set up with a bed area and potty pad area and he slept through the night right away because he had the wee wee pads and didn't wake us. It worked great. However, we never switched him to a smaller crate once he was trained. With the new pup coming I want to set up the big crate for him the same way we did for Ollie so I bought a smaller crate on the weekend and set it up for Ollie so the baby can have his old big crate when he comes in March. I thought if I move Ollie now he won't think he is losing his bed to the new baby. He will be used to the new smaller one by the time Hershey comes home. At least that is the idea. I guess we will find out. Ollie likes the new crate so that is good.
That's a great idea to make changes now since you still have plenty of time before the baby comes home. Gives Ollie plenty of time to adapt and not "blame" the changes on Hershey.
That was exactly our thinking, by the time the puppy comes and gets Ollie's old crate he will have laid claim to the new small one and won't get possessive of the old one. Who knows though, he might still be a little jealous, but he really doesn't seem to have that nature. I guess time will tell.
