I was talking to one of the staff in a pet store today -- a small one that is very invested in carrying safe food, treats, and toys -- and he mentioned that he had heard that there were dogs being fed Beneful who were getting sick or dying. So far there has been no recall. Maybe there's nothing wrong with the Beneful, maybe it's a coincidence, but if anyone's feeding this food, you should know this! Here is one link I found.
I like smaller pet store. The one by my house has been very helpful letting me know about the food I was feeding. Wellness has had a bunch of problems and his store stopped buying it. I would think Perinea would be more on top of what their selling. I wounder who Manufactures the food if perinea subs it out to Diamond because that manufacture has had a bunch of recalls.
It's bad enough that it has poor ingredients, but it sounds like there is something downright toxic in some of the batches. When people complain to the company their concerns are dismissed, and there has been no recall. This is the worst kind of corporate malfeasance. Grrr...
Eileen, I hear ya. As much as I'm not a fan of Purina, it's hard to tell from a google search ,I also found this http://www.wayofcats.com/blog/warnin...dog-food/22798 I would avoid it just because of the ingredients. but sometimes the internet can be very misleading.
