she did about a mile on the sidewalk today . . . stopping traffic with oohs and aahs . . .
when i wear out her playfulness she has found a favorite place for a snooze . . . on the sofa snuggled under pillows.
she couldn't be any more playful or sweet!
whenever i close the door to the crate, first thing she does is stick her nose through to give me a lick :grin2:

mama is solid chocolate and daddy is solid gold.
breeders description was chocolate sable.
sophie while mostly sable, has touches of chocolate, gold, black, and white as well . . .
. . . and a brown nose with green eyes. :grin2:
She is absolutely adorable, but a mile is really too much structured exercises for a puppy her age, especially on pavement. it's just too much pounding on her immature bones and ligaments.
i've asked a lot of peoples advice about the amount of appropriate exercise and received a lot of different answers!?
what range of walking/jogging on sidewalks, as an 8 week old and up to adult, would you recommend?
Jef, when my Henry was a pup I took him on a way-too-long walk. He ended up sitting a few times.
I have always felt bad about it.
To this day when he sees his leash he runs for another room.
Indoor exercise is perfectly acceptable with short distance walks.
At that age, Chloe wasn't even ready for leash walking - she was so small. She got her exercise in the house.
