Me at Nationals Video...

Ok here is what NOT to do in the ring haha.

I am brave enough to suffer public humiliation and post this video Jan took at Nationals. I turned off the sound to protect those sitting close by who were talking. he.

You can see this group... which had me and Stogie, YoYo being shown by Carol Short, and you can see Bailey with his cute handler Susie.

Betty White is in there with Rhett and she is in our club. I am not sure of everyone else.

That woman in front (in the beginning of the video) is Sandra Wayne. I'm pretty sure she's showing her Bred By, Kai. (She also has a male named Elvis, but I think that is Kai in this time around. I'm not positive though.)

Stogie looks great Melissa. You did a great job showing him. I really like that he holds his topline while he's moving. This video isn't quite as clear as seeing him in person was, but you can still see his topline holding while he goes around the ring. You and Stogie make a great team!

That is a cool video!! I love how you didn't pass out or throw up or anything, which is exactly what I would do if I had to show my own dog at Nationals. muwahh to my man Stogie!!!!!

It was really neat to see what it's like. I didn't see anything 'wrong'...I kept waiting for you to go flying across the carpet or Stogie pee or something. LOL. You guys looked great.

Melissa, thanks for sharing with us. There are some of us (me for one) that has never been to a dog show, so I love the watching the videos on this. You and Stogie look great! Stogie is really a beautiful dog, I don't understand why he doesn't win them all.:)

What fun to see you and Stogie! I love the way the Havanese moves so seeing the video clip was really nice. Thanks for sharing!! You said "Betty White"..... do mean THE Betty White from T.V. fame???

I would have a hard time choosing, since so many of the Havs look totally amazing! Stogie is definitely up there with the best of them. Too bad the judge didn't see that.

there was a lady there with a Havanese named Betty White. HAHA, I thought that was funny.

Thanks everyone, I WAS nervous trust me. But I dont mind going out there and at least trying. I have learned a lot since I did it the first time. Its more than just trotting around the ring. hehe.

It took 20 minutes to get to the part where the judge went over Stogie on the table because the video kept stopping :rant: I'll have to try it again later. I think you all looked great out there!

I believe the young woman right in front of you Melissa is Dee Hinkle's grand-daughter.

We did a woof walk fun event to raise money for our club. It was a HUGE success!

ok now I want to know what you did wrong because you both looked great for me! I kept waiting for you to trip on your barbie heals..then I noticed you weren't wearing any.

Everytime I see a show I rethink ever showing Capote..lol. He'd never put up with it! Stogie is so attentive and he lets you jostle and pull him around and pose him. Capote would jump off the table with or without the leash and probably bark at the judge...and nevermind walking calmly by my side..nono...he'd be bounding around on the leash and smelling the carpet cause of all the other dogs.. lol

I have pics too, though I didn't take them. In fact, I wasn't even there! lol These were posted along with 15-20 others on the big Hav list and so I saved them to post here in case no one saw them.

I'm not sure who that last one is, nor do I know the dog, but it's a corded one and I thought it looked pretty cool. :)
