Hi everyone,
I don't post very often as I haven't got the hang of this forum thing - LOL. I've been signed on for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to post a new thread!:frusty:

So anyway I've read some of the topics and I see that advertising puppies isn't allowed which is great. What about if a breeder has an adult that needs a new home? Is it acceptable to post that info here?

Thanks for the replies, and hopefully I can figure out how to read them <grin>

Janet, that's a real good question. I once heard from a breeder who had a retired adult and wanted me to ask but I was unsure if I could. I await the answer, lol.

Janet. I'm pretty sure that rule pertains to all dogs, old or young.

Btw, :welcome: to the forum!

I am not sure? I just dont want it to turn into a puppy classifieds. LOL
Adults.. I know are hard to place and hard for wanting owners to find.

Janet, I say Post away and I will have to think about guidelines. I know I personally have posted adults needing a home, and there are always rescue dogs listed here. My no advertising puppies thing, is basically to keep puppy mills and bad breeders for using this to sell pups.

Janet, I've read nothing but good things about you and your dogs...so as some one who's opinion totally doesn't matter, I say "post away!"

If you do post info, please include the location of the pup, as I have several people looking for pups on the east coast.

Janet, welcome! Hope we will get to see you often.

Amy, Janet was one of the highly recommended breeders by HCA. Janet
may or may not remember me but she was so helpful in getting me in touch with my breeder and other CA breeders as DH and I wanted to a local breeder. :)

as someone who has very recently got an adult dog after trying various other routes, i think it's a good thing to have (reputable) people posting here about available dogs.

I think Doc's mommy came from Janet......

I believe it would be real helpful for people to find older dogs this way....I agree, post away!

Thanks for all the replies. Hi Poornima, I do remember you!

The available adult in on my website at www.janizonahavanese.com. Right now I'm going to wait to see if Cowboy John wants him for a Barki buddy first. Barki and Rocket already know each other!

Each of them were returned to me from their owners about the same time 1 1/2 years ago and Barki went to live with John last year. Now we are ready to place Rocket and hopefully John will adopt him too! Rocket and Barki have the same grandpa (Salemi Charly) so they are cousins. =)
