Becky I am doing much better. I won't ever be 100%, but am exercising and housework again--even started back doing the cooking. DH was tickled about that. I am not on the forum hardly ever. I like the facebook page--no lectures. Mostly just cute things about their fur babies.

I haven't been on this site for a long while, face book has a lot of Hav stuff and been there. I was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you are doing.

On your app, you left out some of the numbers in the phone number for your neighbor (reference). Could you PM me with her number so I can call her? Thank you! Kathleen

I'm not sure if you had your questions answered, but I just ran across them....so here goes.:)

The barking or lack there of,I think is common. Sometimes you get a quiet one, sometimes there are "barky" ones. Be thankful you have a quiet one! Quincy does bark, but not excessively. When he was a pup he never barked at all,but now he has found his voice. :)

The coat change--I'm not sure what to tell you about that. I know that there is a change from puppy coat to adult coat, but going from straight to curly I haven't heard of myself. Usually the coat becomes easier to care for with less matting after the blow coat changes. We went through that twice. Quincy is now 3. Quincy's coat is typical at least from the standards I have read, where his hair is straight with a little curl or kind of zig zag at the end. It varies from silky to cottony. Generally speaking his white is silkier then his black except for his head.He has a varied coat that is silkier in the front and cottony on his rear end/back.

Hope things gives you some insight on at least my boy. I think you picked the right breed. Havanese vary alot, but they are all fabulous!:thumb:

I have had Rosie for 2 months now, she is 6 months old and I haven't had her coat trimmed and don't plan to. But what is happening? It is getting curly and really thick. I have to brush daily--she doesn't mind; but will it continue to curl? Help. I admit, that I chose the Havanese because I am 65 and wanted a long-lived happy dog with few health issues and did not shed. I was advised on all puppy issues; but no-one told me about the changes in the puppy coat to the adult coat. Please advise. Also, this dog doesn't bark--hardly makes a sound--is that normal. Thanks Luciledodd
