Estelle, I am so sorry that I did not notice your messages to me. Still not that great with this PM stuff I guess. So sorry to hear that you've had some problems. I was born with bilateral cataracts, as was my father and one of my four kids. The congenital type may never need surgery, but my vision is not that great. I have a lot of trouble with glare and living at the beach doesn't help that. I was also told, at my last visit, that I may develop macular degeneration in the future. Definitely not something to look forward to. Hope things get better for you soon and you will join us again. Best of luck and keep in touch when you can.

Estelle, is that you I see online today? If so, I've missed you and the Bella sisters. Is everything okay with you and the girls? I certainly hope so. Let me know how you're doing.

    Hi Estelle,
I haven't seen you online or posting for quite a while now and was wondering if everything is okay with you and the Bella sisters. I hope so. Let me know.

Hi Estelle :). My little Raider looks like he could be a brother from another mother :). I'd love to see what your chocolate looks like now so I know what to look forward to. His breeder thinks he'll remain close to this color but I've yet to see a Havanese not change drastically over time LOL

Hi Estelle, I did get notification of your visitor message yesterday, read it and decided that I would respond to it today. However, I can't find the actual message you sent, only the notice from you telling me that you had sent me a visitor message. Where did it go? I, like you, are not a computer whiz, but I did read it and want to thank you for your response. We, too, had a houseful for the holiday. Our 4 "kids", and I use the term loosely, their spouses and our 1 granddaughter who is 2. Boy, I don't know how you ran a B&B - what a lot of work! I'm still washing and fixing beds today and they all left on Saturday. Oh well, back to the subject. I am not planning on getting a second dog, as we have been there and done that and find it a lot easier with one. My plan is that when Tyler goes to join Bailey on the Rainbow Bridge, we will get a new puppy. My question to you was, did you find it difficult training and keeping up with a new puppy at 70+ when you got Izzy or was it easier because you were retired and had lots of time to spend with her. I figure by the time Tyler leaves us, I could be about 72 or so and was wondering if that is too old. I'm a very active senior, walking, bike riding, volunteering, going to the gym etc so I'm hoping that will keep me young, but I, too, worry about declining health and whether a new dog will outlive me. Sorry to have gone on and on, but you're someone who's been through this and the perfect one to ask. Thanks, again, and take care.............Mary

Hi Estelle, I have a question for you, personally, so decided to PM you rather than post on the forum. You've mentioned several times that you are a senior, 75 yrs., I believe. Well, I am too, 70 yrs. I figured that you got our girls when you were in your 70s and was wondering if you found it hard dealing with training, etc. as an older person or was it okay because of having lots of time during retirement. I'm asking because I will probably be getting my next puppy when I'm in my 70s also and want to know what I'm in for. The last time I dealt with a puppy was 15+ years ago. My vet suggested an older dog when the time comes, but I don't want to do that. I want to start fresh. Let me know about your experience. Thank you and happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I don't think it's a sad look. I think he's trying to figure out what I'm saying lots of times because his hearing is pretty well gone. He does hear loud noises but can't tell where they come from. I can be in back of him, clapping, and he looks in the total opposite direction. I think he may be confused more than sad. He runs around, likes to play "chase me" and gets very excited when he's about to get treats and/or his meals. However, he could be a little sad at times as he was never an only dog before he lost his "brother" last year. I truly think he still misses Bailey, as do I. I think Tyler has very pretty eyes! I could never see Bailey's eyes as he was a black and white with a black face. Take care, girls!

I know it took me 10 minutes to find and read this message. Your husband is so right...I vote for Tyler!

There is something about Tyler's face ( the look in his eyes ?). Something about him reminds me sooooo much of Izzy. Stella always looks happy to me...... But izzy always looks so serious and questioning? She acts happy and is always running around and playing...but when she look up at me she looks serious! Is that what you see in Tyler? Is that what I see in that picture? Well have a good day my new friend .... Kisses to the top model Tyler from the Bella sisters.

No problem, Estelle. My husband said that Tyler has become the model for "best haircut of the year". It's fun to be famous, isn't it?
BTW, thanks for friending me. I accepted your friendship and hope I did it right. This stuff is all new to me. It's nice to have a "cyber buddy". Take care and hug the girls. Love the name, the Bella sisters
