right on Angie.

You might have a color preference in mind, which is totally cool, but I'm +1000 with Angie, on selecting termperament before color. plus, when you go, and if there are mutiple puppies to choose from, one might just fall for the pup that looks totally different than you thought.

The original question was what color hav do you prefer, I can only remember parti and chocolate.

the OP has been researching breeders and had narrowed down color choices of 3.

you can see what the responses were, and we technically didn't answer the question.

when I came back to the forum a couple of hours later, the OP deleted the original thread post, and I'm guessing she had to leave 1 letter, in order to 'edit' the post.

When i got my hav i defintely had a color preference, but in the end i just wanted one that wasn't white. My girl is shiny black with white markings. I really wanted chocolate but the only chocolate dog she had was really petite and i wanted a sturdier dog. In the end personality and health were number 1 priority (i wanted a dog that could do obedience and maybe agility, i work so some independence to be left alone and good with my big dog), color second priority and gender third. With that in mind the breeder told me about the dogs she had and made her recommendation. She also told me although she didn't think my girl would silver (she was 4 months at that age and they can usually tell) there is no guarantee and some dogs born black will turn almost white! I'm not a fan of small white dogs (they get dirty so easily) but if she does turn white I will still love her.
