Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jen and I am a mom-to-be of a Havanese puppy. The litter has not been born yet, any day now! Looking forward to reading and learning here! I am from Washington PA and my puppy is coming from Weirton WV )
Welcome! It's such an exciting time waiting for the litter with your puppy to be born, then watching their development, etc. and then finding out which one will be yours. While I was impatient for time to move faster while I was waiting...I know that I treasure that time as one of the best parts of the puppy adopting process.
Thank you! I am eagerly waiting to hear about the birth of the babies!! It is such an exciting time! It took a really long time to find a breeder I liked!
The breeder called on Feb 12th to let me know the babies were born! 7 puppies to choose from!! I haven't seen pictures yet, hopefully today. The breeder doesn't let people come meet the puppies in person until they are 8 weeks old, to protect their health, and they come home at 10 weeks. Thanks for the book suggestion also, as I am reading everything i can get my hands on!

Yeah, how exciting if you get first pick! With Boo, I got last pick...which is no pick at all...(HeeHeeHee!)...which was also fine with me...I figured that way, I'll get the pup I was meant to have! And I did!
I do get first pick! I am so excited! I will pick one that looks healthiest, has a nice temperament, probably a middle of the road kinda guy (we've owned dominant breeds before, been there done that kind of thing, it can get tiresome lol), and i think i will pick a boy since i have a female dog in the house
Its so nice sharing this experience with all of you! And i love every single one of your doggie pics, they are all so so cute!
