He is aout 7 and has been such a nice cat. Cassie and he played very well together too. We took him to the vet today, and awaiting test results, but it doesn't look good for him. Good thoughts welcome!
He's had a urinary infection a few years ago, but this is different. It could be kidney, but the doc hasn't called back yet. He's been losing weight and stopped eating afew days ago. Getting weaker, hiding, and not playing.
Oh, that's heartbreaking. I had my son's cat living with me for months when they were moving out of town. He stopped eating and would hide out and not come to me, totally contrary to the sweet little boy who slept with his little paw on my arm all night, every night. Turned out he had cancer and must have been miserable. He was much older than your little kitty. I miss him to this day.
Good thoughts and prayers coming your way. I wouldn't know what to do if my kitty was going through this. We have been together for 15+ years and I love her to bits.
So sorry to hear your kitty is ill. I do hope the news isn't as bad as you fear. It seems that so many of our beloved pets are ill at this time. Breaks my heart to hear of them all.
So sorry to hear about your kitty. I'm going through the same thing and will also get results today. Pepper went from 9 to 7 pounds in 2 months. Yours is younger. It could be something as simple as thyroid. Try to stay positive.
Well, he's still drinking, but won't eat. Still haven't heard from the vet. I may try injecting some watery food into his mouth...if I can get him out from under the bed. Very sorry Sharon...hoping for the best for you too. Let me know.
He has severe kidney failure and his numbers are sky high, we don't want him to suffer so will bring him in today. I'm very glad that he shared our life and I got to know how gentle and loving a cat can be. I will miss his nighttime snuggles and head butt hugs greatly! Thank you all for the support.
Nicki, I am so sorry this is happening. He is a beautiful boy. I lost my previous dog to kidney failure and I wanted to let you know you are doing the right thing.
So sorry, Nicki. It's one of the hardest decisions we have to make in life but best not to have our furry kids suffer. I think it's harder on us than it is on them. Take care. You are in our thoughts.
