Help! I'm crazy from the cuteness!

I've only had Tino for a month, and I'm already going crazy from cuteness overload! Just last night, I started exhibiting a strange symptom: I was suddenly gripped by the irresistible urge to sew him a custom, quilted, lined winter coat with a jaunty collar that makes him look like a mini canine Sherlock Holmes! Is there hope for me? Is anyone else showing similar symptoms? Lol!

When a fabulous coat! Are you having Santa pics done? I agree . . .its so easy to be overcome by cuteness!

Is anyone else showing similar symptoms? Lol!
I bought some 7" wide cotton eyelet trim and ran it through the pleater to smock a cute Christmas themed smocked collar for Isabella's Santa pics . . .but I've been so busy with little Raider, I've hardly picked it up all week. Better get my groove on, pictures this weekend LOL

I'd love to sew a coat for Charley. If you do share the pattern I'd love to have it. by the way, where did you get your materials? I've actually started to repair his collars. In other words, if one piece gets torn, I replace it instead of throwing it out. This week I will knit Charley a holiday scarf! I'm smitten too.

I can see why you are smitten, Michelle - Tino is darling! Such a nice job on the Sherlock coat!! Can't wait to see what else you turn out for him. Only thing I have sewn is a leopard vest for Augie. He has so much hair now, I doubt the vest could be seen on him! When I go and look back at the boys' puppy photos, I just melt.

You guys r so sweet! I suppose I could be talked into making a few little coats although I wouldn't be able to start until after Christmas. If anyone is interested, PM me and we'll go from there!

Don't worry you've come to the right place if you're smitten with the Havie bug, we're all pretty sick over here :pound: Tino is adorable even without the cute duds, if you got him to hold a pipe in his mouth... okay I'm done.

I'm a crocheter so I've made Timmy several sweaters. My mom is recuperating from surgery so I've set her up with some yarn and a pattern to get a cable sweater done for him. My daughter was quite upset to see that the yarn I chose to have my mom knit with was Merino wool.

@sprorchid: fantastic idea. I will absolutely donate proceeds to Hav rescue!
@jabojenny: lol about the merino wool! I knitted our dearly departed Buster a ribbed turtleneck in a lovely charcoal merino wool. He was so dashing in it! Unfortunately I'm unable to knit right now--I've got some inflammation in my thumb that's bothering me. Thank goodness I can play piano and sew without pain.

@Charleysmom: I'm happy to share the pattern! PM me your address and I will mail you the pattern pieces with instructions. I get my fabric from Beverly's craft store in my area. They have a pretty good selection. I went with flannel for winter--from the pic I posted you can't see the lining fabric, a white flannel with adorable cartoon dogs. So fun!
