Backsliding in potty box after 1 1/2 years

Mopsy is 1 1/2 years old and so sweet. She has been potty box trained sice day one and had the run of the house with no problems. She has an xpen with open crate/bed in it along with the box (we call it her condo) and loves to be in it when we are out. For the past month, she has been having accidents (some in the same place) and now we cannot trust her on rugs.
I have cleaned, deodorized, rewarded for potty box elimination and she will just go into a room, with us, and promptly pee! I don't know what to do. Help please!! Thanks

ya, if she has been totally reliable till now, she may be trying to TELL you something about her health, the only way she can.
I just went through this with my hav, FULLY house trained for 2 yrs and then she pee'd on our beds. 3.times. took her to the vet, she had crystals in her urine (ouch!). She was TELLING me something was wrong. I did block off part of the house for about 2 weeks after while she was on antibiotics just to make SURE she didn't make peeing on the beds a habit and I was mindful to take her out and make her pee every 2 hrs.

anything new in your household? new pet, new baby? and yes, she could be ill. My little stinker Ollie, every winter he reverts to an indoor only dog. all of a sudden it's too cold or wet for him to go outside. I gave up and just put a pee pad down for me. then he gets back to normal in the spring. such a bogger.

Sophie is 2 and has been perfect until we put up our Christmas tree. She has peed on the tree skirt twice. She either thinks it's a pee pad or she's outside with a tree.

Eli did the same thing around the 2 year mark. He started to pee on a rug and I didn't notice for a bit because the rug is beige and you can't see wet patches. Deodarizing and cleaning the rug at home will not be sufficient to stop it. Either get the rugs professionally deodarized and cleaned or, honestly, throw them away. If you can leave the floors bare for a while until that might be a she forgets what she's used them for is probably a good idea.

Thanks you all for your advice. I did take Mopsy to the vet. She is on a antibiotic, but evidently that it not the problem. She continues to pee, even right outside her indoor potty box! Believe me, nothing here has changed`no new people or activities, no new food or cleansers. The pads are kept changed, but I leave a bit of wetness on the top grate so she has the scent. I have deodorized in all ways~a product called Stink free saturating the spot, a pet deep cleaner shampooer~~nothing is stopping her. Several of the rugs are wall-to-wall so I can't remove them. At this time of year, I simply cannot move furniture and have a professional in. She is so restricted now~like when she was a puppy and I really think she feels 'neglected'. Sorry to vent, and I surely know this is not the most important thing in the world, especially after this past horrendous weekend here in CT, but this is just so disappointing to me. Thanks for listening.
