Chlostridium/bloody bottom
Well, Djangos bottom seems to be getting worse with each bowel movement. We upped his antibiotics, his energy is a bit better but that could be due to the extra dose of pred. I hope to god they don't have to scope him. Put another call into the vet today. We have been on ground turkey and rice for the past 8 days. His poop is still soft but today there were actual drops of blood on his little bottom. He's resting all day. He always hides behind the pillows when he needs serious rest.

Poor little guy. I sure hope you get to the bottom (no pun intended) of the situation soon. I feel so bad for him and you as welll. Keep your chin up. Our thoughts are with you both.

Poor Django, and poor you. I haven't replied often, but read all your posts about Django, he and you have had such a challenging life. So, does he now have the C-Diff? Is that curable in a dog? I know it is very dangerous and difficult to treat in humans. I feel so sad for what you two constantly have to fight for with his health. I can only send you a cyber hug. ((((hug))))

Well, Doggy C-diff is different than human C-diff. Its caused by nothing other than the inability to handle the bad bacteria in his gut. With addisons, his system has been compromised and he can't fight off anything bad that comes his way. It can however become serious if we don't get it under control. I just feel soooo bad for him.

How old is Django?
Do you know how his sire, dam, and siblings are, health wise?

Well, his dad was a AKC ( I think that's correct) champion, producing litters of show dogs, his siblings are all healthy. And, the breeders dogs are all generally healthy. I think we got as they say the bum lamb! Glad he's with us because he knows we will do whatever we can to keep him around and as healthy as possible. Wouldn't trade him for anything in the world!

Does Django get Probiotic supplements to crowd out the bad bacteria with good bacteria? Poor little guy. Sending good health vibes his way.

He's on geneflora every morning but I think we need to make some change. My goal is to get him healthy right now and then look into changing his diet, perhaps something geared towards GI issues, but I have to keep his addisons in mind before making any changes.
