I am new here. This forum is such a wealth of knowledge! I enjoy the threads and the information that you all provide is so helpful. I am in search of a reputable breeder to work with in the Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and New Jersey. I've contacted a couple of breeders via email and haven't had a response. We're looking to this new family member in the warmer months of this year. I'm almost feeling as if emails are ineffective...even though websites ask to complete questionnaires and to contact them via email. Any help would be appreciated.
Starborn Havanese are fabulous breeders located in North Carolina. They are expecting a litter in March 2013.
When I joined the forum last December people told me NOT to limit myself to breeders within a specific distance. The absolute best advice I ever got! Couldn't have imagined that I'd drive all the way the NC from NJ.
Charley is the absolute best dog. You can't go wrong with a Starborn puppy!!! Many people on the forum have a Starborn havanese.

I didn't get a havanese from them but Starborn seems like a terrific breeder. they cover all the bases from socializing, housebreaking, health checking etc. The last time I looked at their site, they had videos. It's fun to watch the pups use the literbox at such a young age. I think it's hard to find a breeder like them, who do all those things. They definitely do it right!
