New Puppy
Hi everyone,
I am in the process of bringing home a new Hav Puppy. She is going to be in a good environment. She will have lots of love and care. However, to provide the best care I can for her, I want to give her a proper diet. I live in the Czech Republic and am not satisfied with the puppy/dog food they have here. Many of my other "Doggy" friends say the same thing. It is hard to find a good quality food here and many of their pets have skin, teeth, and coat problems.
I want to eliminate this as soon as I can. I have been doing research on the raw food diet. HOWEVER, not many post have answered my direct questions. I though this site could help.
First, when can someone start on the raw diet? I would like to stay away form dry/wet processed food all together. Is it possible to start the raw diet right away?
Second, is there better combination of raw meats and veggies ect. that are better for the Hav, due to the duel coat, small frame, and activity level? I have not found may views on this.
Third, Processed foods are very costly here, and is a raw diet less expensive? At our vets they have Hills Science Diet. I know the brand from America but I am concerned that it may not have the same quality standards as it does in the US. There is no Iams her but we do have Pedigree here.
I hope someone (or many people) can help me... I am three months away from getting my little boy/girl, and I just want the VERY BEST for them. Thanks for the wisdom in advance
Woof and Thanks
Matt
