Anybody had any trouble with a scrunchie eater? She steals them out of my other girls ponytails. She finds them and eats them. It's really weird. So far no bowel obstruction, but I'm worried every time one goes missing. Thanks, Tracey
Are you talking about the "Scunci" brand pony tail ties or the scrunchy bands wrapped and scrunched in fabric??? Because neither would be good but the latter, I'd thnk, would be BAD. I'd definitely douse them in Bitter Apple spray and leave to dry before using them . . .barring that, I agree with Evelyn . . .time to give them up.
Perhaps just use the "rubber bands" that come out easily. I take them out in the morning and put them back in when I brush the dog. I'm not completely sure, but think they are latex. They're in all the dog supply catalogs and inexpensive.
Do you "doggie" girls or human girls? Timmy's favorite thing is to pull my daughter's ponytails out, but I don't think it's to get the pony holders, thank goodness. I think he likes to hear my girls screaming at him.

The dog supplers sell the latex they don't pull the hair out. I would stop using the scrunchy's. Things can stay in the intestines for a time, if you are sure she is eating them you need to make sure "what goes in comes out".

I'm sure it's not good for them and can cause problems. I just found a red hairband in a "pile" in the backyard. I am not sure if Oliver had a hard time passing it or not, but the good news is, it came out! He's still eating and drinking his water just fine!
