I live on Long Island New York and I have experienced two groomers already with no luck. Either the cut was crooked or shaved so close I barely recognized her when I picked her up. Are there any groomers that truly know how to cut a havanese puppy? Any info would be really appreciated!
any chance you would be willing to learn to take care of her grooming yourself?
lots of us have learned, our pups look the way WE want them too, they are safe, comfortable, trusting ... just a thought!
I have used Kim at Pimp That Pooch in North Bellmore. She does a lot of Havanese. I brought her a picture of what I wanted and was very happy. Pictures work best because "long" "short" etc can mean different things to different people. I believe they also have a binder of photos to look thru in the salon. This photo of Riley on the left was taken right after she groomed him. I now groom him myself to save money so I can get another hav. With practice, it's not so hard but he looks more ragamuffin-ish now.
