Pet Peeve
I absolutely hate it when people meet Brody and the first words out of their mouth are, "Ewww, he needs a haircut".
I'm thinking: "No he doesn't. He is supposed to look like that and he's CUTE you moron!!!"

LOL I know my friend who get's her dog shaved is always saying that to me. I'm to polite to say my dog is so much cuter than yours. At least we both know what we like .

Back in Connecticut a vet tech told me Hanna was going to get eye ulcers and that I should get her a haircut. Actually it was my husband that was there, the tech was very lucky I wasn't there.

I just really don't get why people don't realize how rude and insulting they come across. If you don't like his hair that is fine, but keep it to yourself. I just can't imagine walking up to someone and saying something like that.
What's worse is she then went on about how her sister had a Havanese and then how it had a severe overbite. So I'm thinking...so yeah, you really have a good idea of what a Havanese is supposed to look like!

People are SO rude sometimes!! Once someone said to Lola "ohh you poor thing, how can you see??" and something along the lines of "tell your mom to fix it". The worst is when people pick her up or give her treats without asking! Havs are fluffy and look adorable that way. And honestly, Lola doesn't like when her hair is pulled back so I mostly just let it be and she's absolutely adorable. Don't let those people get to ya!!

I like it when Emmie's hair is long on her face but groomers keep trimming the hair around her eyes even though I tell them not to. But the worst is my sister; she watched my puppy over Thanksgiving but when I got her back her face was all clipped. I told her that wasn't ok and she said that was the price I paid for leaving Emmie with her. And yet if I were to trim her dog without permission she would FREAK OUT. Needless to say, I'm not sure I'll leave her with her again even though she and her partner (and friends) adore Emmie. Family...

I took Riley to PetSmart one time to have his nails cut and the groomer said "I can cut that hair away from his eyes if you want". UM, NO!

Yea, I hear those comments. Wow! Look at all that hair! Do you have to brush every day? Yea, I get tired of all the comments too. We need to come up with the comebacks to these people.
What about - No, he doesn't need a haircut, that is what a longhaired Havanese is suppose to look like. Most people have never heard of a Havanese.
I hear, gosh he has a lot of hair, do you have to groom everyday? I say no, only about every 3 days or so
