Pixie still has baby teeth

Just a quick Pixie update. I took her to the vet this morning and discovered that 4 of her back teeth (premolar?) are baby teeth and loose. Weird. I had no idea she would have retained them that long-she's 16 months old. I'll have to make sure she has plenty of flossies to get those things out.
She weighs 5.7 pounds now and I think she's pretty much plateaued. I was hoping she'd grow to at least 6-6.5 (my dream was 7), but it's not going to happen. She will remain a peewee. The patellas are on a watch and see basis, with 1/4 Cosequin everyday . She shows no symptoms whatsoever, other than the popping noise. I'm using a different vet (same office) who is fantastic. I love that he's not an alarmist who insists that we rush her into surgery immediately. He also said no way to the Lepto vaccine for her. The other vet convinced me that she really needed it. It just goes to show how incredibly different vets are-and these two work in the same office.

Yeah Beth they can be very different. Pixie is a darling. She is petite for sure. What did the vet say about the teeth. ?

Thanks Dave!
He said due to her size, he's not that surprised. He's seen it before in the little ones.

HI Pixie Puff! (and Beth)

Thanks for the Pixie update. I also wonder what other things I should watch out for with Mimi. She seems to be doing well. Her teeth, I noticed are smaller than any of the other dogs I have seen on the Forum (based on pictures) and I want to believe it's due to her size.

Please post recent pictures!

Hi Elizabeth and cute Mimi!
Pixie has small teeth in the front. I asked the vet about them, and he said those were adult ones. They're super TINY too!
