Had her 4 week post op visit today and she passed with flying colors. He examined both knees and said that they felt secure, no looseness in the joints. She has been cleared for all activities except jumping for another 2 weeks. We have been extremely suprised and pleased with her progress as she is having no residual signs of previous injury. We hope that any others who have to deal with patella luxation in their future not fret as things can get better. Also, our groomer did a great job basically had to take shave her very close as we had lots of post op mats.
Thank you, She is only 2 so we don't have any long haired pics, both times we were letting the hair grow out, we needed to do surgery (the knee and Cherry eye)so we had to cut her back to even out the fur. The length in my my thread 'Ginger home from surgery' is the longest we have managed.
I am so happy that Ginger has recovered so well. She has had enough surgery now to last a lifetime She's a very pretty girl, and it's great that your groomer was able to keep the Havanese look on her face. Her hair will grow back before you know it, and now you can enjoy a nice break from brushing
