Experience with Bladder Support tablets?
Drs Foster and Smith and one or two other places, sell an herbal tablet for dogs which is supposed to support their bladder function. It is good for older dogs who are becoming incontinent and also for spayed dogs who have leakage when excited.
Ellie has always leaked urine when she got excited - like when someone comes to visit that she likes a lot. Some people find it quite annoying, especially if it gets on their shoes or feet.....
So I decided to try Bladder Support. After 5 days I thought I saw some improvement.
However, suddenly she began throwing up a lot and became dehydrated. Several hundred dollars later she was declared ok with an internal water pack having been injected, and my being told to give her pepcid for several days, along with low moisture food.
When we are out in the park she is a walking vacuum cleaner. I don't know what she might have picked up. OR, is it a reaction to the herbal medication?
I'm wondering if anyone has used this product and what your experiences have been. The vet knew nothing about it.
Here are the ingredients:
Pumpkin Seed Powder
Rehmannia Glutinosa Root Powder
Wild Yam Extract
Soy Protein Extract
Corn Silk Powder
Saw Palmetto Extract
Olive Leaf Extract
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCL)
Thanks for any thoughts or experiences.
