Need help from Canadian friends

For the past 8 months, Phoebe has had a lump on her abdomen near her left rear leg. It has been aspirated twice with no results. Today we are at the vet for a check up and health certificate and the upon examination the vet decides that this is a hernia and was able to reduce it. We were getting the health certificate because we are leaving for our annual trek to Canada. I scheduled the repair for the day we return . . . she has been fine with this for 8 months so I am hopeful that we will not have an issue while we are away. We will be at Mt. Tremblant next Sunday thru Wednesday and then we are heading to Mosport which is in Bowmanville about 40 minutes from Toronto. Can anyone recommend a vet in those areas or an emergency veterinary clinic? Somehow I feel if I have this information I won't need it.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Arlene

Arlene,

Try sending a note to Nathan and Darlah Potechin.

They live in Canada...not far from Toronto and are very active.

Their address is: [email protected]

Thanks for the replies. I sent Darlah an email this afternoon but haven't heard anything yet.

Arlene,

You could look in the yellow pages and find a vet in those areas. But since I do not live close to those areas, I would not know any of the vets enough to recommended.

I googled vets in the two areas and printed out a list. I have a lot of Porsche Club friends in Canada and we are going to two different Porsche events. I'm hopeful I will get some recommendation. I met someone at Mosport last year that had a Hav mix . . . I remember the dog's name but for the life of me I can't remember the owners.

Thanks

Arlene
