A few weeks ago, I noticed some red blood on Olive's stool and it went away on its own after 3 days or so. She was acting completely normal, had the same amount of energy and appetite. After a week or so, I noticed blood on her stool again and this time it was much worse. It was all over her fur on her backside and it honestly freaked me out. I just closely watched her over a few days and it went away again on its own.
I took her to my vet this morning and they asked if we feed her bones (which we dont). They sent in a stool sample but she suspects that it might be caused by sharp bone shards in her food. I've been feeding her Primal Freeze Dried. She suggested maybe switching her to Honest Kitchen.
Always see vet immediately if you see blood anywhere.

Oh no, I'm so sorry! I saw that post from Dave, I think, about the recall. Bowie gets the freeze dried when we travel and his bag was ok. I can imagine totally freaking out, sure hope your pup gets better soon!
