Exclamation Bugs

Since it's summer and bugs are on the prowl for blood i have been looking for an effective bug repellent that can keep mosquitoes and ticks away.
I do not know if i am asking for a lot but right now we are having problems with those two critters in this area. Especially the ticks have been found to have lime disease so having my little girl go to the park stresses me out to no end.
The sprays that i have found in the market have DEET so i have been looking for DEET free sprays but they are not as effective, at least for the mosquitoes.
If you know of any non toxic "green" products that can give her a degree of protection let me know.
Thank you guys.

Here's from Sabine ( dog nutrionist /health expert).. This is safe , unlike all the other crap we put in them and on them.

"I recommend essential oils of rosemary, lavender, citronella, peppermint, eucalyptus, lemon (individually or any combination is fine) in a solution of carrier oil and water.

Simply put in a spray bottle and shake well before each application."

She also uses this jacket that she swears by, especially if you are going into an area of heavy infestation http://www.ruffwear.com/Cloud-Chaser...=2&category=12

Thank you davetgabby. I will give it a try cause the mosquitoes love biting her but if the winds leaves it uncovered.
