Cooked beef bones

I took home the leftovers from a t bone steak I had last night, and I threw the bone in the freezer. This morning, I gave the bone to my dog, and it only took her a minute to break a large chunk off of it and eat it. I know chicken bones can cause intestinal damage but I know people still feed them beef bones. Is it safe for a dog of this size to be eating bones like this?

I give Rosie the top part of the t-bone with a little meat attached. I cut off the long part that makes the tee. She has never chewed one up completely. In fact, she will chew on it for a couple of days before I take it away from her.

Really it depends on your dog. Some would swallow large pieces whole and some like Rosie just gnaw on them.

Raw bones only. Don't push your luck. Cooking destroys the bones matrix and makes it brittle. I'm not big on bones
