Hi everyone

We have been doing some work outside and Max hasn't been able to go out to take care of 'business'....and is using pee-pee pads...

I have noticed that he doesn't have any trouble going but his urine has a very strong odor - I read about UTI's online but he doesn't have any other of the symptoms that seem to go with UTI's and doesn't seem uncomfortable at all ?

Just wondered if anyone can help - since he normally is outside I have never noticed the odor before ....

Augie has had two UTI's. He did not show any noticeable discomfort when going...that I could notice. He was going more often than he normally goes and could not hold it all night. For his last urinalysis recheck, I put a clean, out of the package disposable bowl under him to catch the urine and also thought it smelled strong. His ua., however, came back normal. (YAY!!!). His urine at this time looked very clear, where it was cloudy when he had the UTI. Maybe you could catch a sample and look at it? If he is not going more frequently than normal and seems fine otherwise, I probably wouldn't get too concerned. In retrospect, Augie was also a bit more subdued. It was the frequent urination, however, that was the clue that things were not right.

He isn't going any more frequently than normal, urine is clear just 'smelly' and he sleeps through the night without any issues....
