When is he gonna poop?!?!

I posted the other day about Bentley being sick and I'm happy to report that he seems to be feeling better and has been eating chicken and rice happily. Now my question/concern is when is he going to poop??? He just had his last dose of metronidazole tonight (been on for a week) and he hasn't pooped since Sunday AM. He didn't really eat anything all weekend but has been eating chicken and rice since Monday (spread out into frequent small meals) and it has been much more rice than chicken but we have been increasing the amount of chicken since yesterday very slowly. Is this a problem that he's not pooping now? He hasn't vomited or acted sick since Sunday and I know the metronidazole slows things down but do I need to be worried about him being constipated now?

Thanks in advance for your help (again)!

so long as he isn' t constipated ie. trying to go with no results , I wouldn't worry. If he's eating he'll poop. Keep an eye on him.

Augie was sick with diarrhea and dry heaves a couple of months ago and the vet found the bacterial picture of his poo all out of whack and he was put on Metronidazole for a period too. I also put him on rice and chicken. I remember being a bit concerned too as it seemed like it took him quite some time to finally go poo again. And once he did finally go, he was pooing considerably less on the rice and chicken diet than he normally does.

Yep, walks seem to get things moving! Glad Bentley finally went, I know I'm always worked up when Tim is off schedule.
