Excessive drooling .......teething?

Today Charlie suddenly started drooling a lot. Pools of saliva in his bed and his face is permanently wet. Other that that he is eating, pooping, peeing and playing normally.

The only thing I can think is that it's because he's teething and this is a particularly painful time. He's already changed his front teeth and canines with no noticeable discomfort. But this morning he had two very loose molars and then one came out - the only tooth he's lost that I actually found.

Is it normal for a puppy to drool like this when he's teething? What can I do to help him?

Ok so he seems back to normal today. No wet patches in his crate and his muzzle was dry. So it must have been that loose tooth that was hurting him.

I did freeze a wet dishcloth and give it to him to chew on to try and give him some relief. Don't know if it helped but he seemed to enjoy it
