Unhappy How long?

Okay So this started when Kona got into the twizzlers... the diahrea. It got better. Then night before last, I got some treats and gave him like 1/3 of one, just a tiny bite. He's had diahrea ever since. He's eating fine, drinking fine, no symptoms, just the poop issue. Is he just too "young" for treats and other things besides his food? Or is it that he can't eat anything but his food? Or lingering from the twizzlers?
I hate that this is becoming a setback on the potty training issue, he just can't help but go in the house even right after he's went potty outside. He also had a few accidents in bed last night (pee) and he's never ever had that happen before either, and we aren't doing anything different.
Just wondering if anyone has some advise.

Brooke, you could try to give him a little yogurt each day to get the bacteria straightened out in the intestines. Keep an eye on it though to be sure it isnt something other than the twizzlers. I would give Kona just his regular food, yogurt and hold off on the treats till he is better. Peeing in his bed can be a sign of bladder infection, so you should also keep an eye on that also.

How much is a little on the yogurt? I noticed he was peeing ALOT during the night, but not during the day. Not sure on that, I think I will take him to the vet on Monday if it's no better and have them check him out again. I hope he doesn't get a bladder infection Poor guy.

I give my guys about 1 TBSP a day in their food. Be sure that it has "active" cultures. My guys get it daily & seem to do well on it.
If he is not better and you take him in on MOnday, bring a morning sample, it will save you a lot of time. It is better to be careful.

He is very young, so even though he was doing really well with the potty training, I think you will find a lot more accidents. It takes them quite a while to train. As for the pee at night, be sure to take water away around 7pm and take out for potty at late as you can. Hopefully it is just a slight set-back.

Thanks Lily! Great and very helpful info. I will buy some yogurt tonight. Flavored or unflavored? We usually take the water up around 7:00 and I take him out the last time for a potty break about 12:00 so it was weird last night they he had 3 pee accidents I sure hope it's not a bladder infection. Poor baby!

I usually fat free vanilla flavored yogurt. My guys love it!! But Def keep an eye on the bladder thing, if he keep having accidents like that, he should be seen by the vet.
