Question Flea Treats

Has anyone tried Flea Treats? It is advertised as a natural b-vitamin complex that repels fleas -- http://www.fleatreat.com/welcome.html. I would love to use less chemicals, but don't want to risk a flea invasion.

Diane, I haven't come across these yet, but will check it out now.

Here's something I found today as an alternative: http://www.mindfully.org/Pesticide/F...ut-Poisons.htm

I've been trying to find something that will be efficient (No WAY do I want even ONE flea in my house!) and yet as non-toxic as possible to Ricky, who is still fighting elevated ALT, liver enzyme. Not easy to find a perfect solution!

And this: http://www.fda.gov/foi/warning_letters/s6390c.htm SCARY stuff!

I just can not physically vaccum every day, everywhere and we all know how tough it is to flea comb a Hav with a thick, black coat every single day. I just won't do it. We also have two cats, but they are on Revolution and even that is supp'd to be 'bad'. sigh...... The cats, though, are out all the time, so they are going to stay with Revolution.

I just read about Flea Treats and I'm not convinced. I don't see the real proof that this could work.

I'll keep looking.....

I still need to be convinced too, but I noticed that the article you put a link to says,

"Flea Repellents: Fed to your pet, vitamin B1 (found in nutritional yeast) is a flea repellent. However, it should be given only in small doses, 1/2 teaspoon for a small cat and 2 to 3 teaspoons for large dogs, since large amounts can result in gas and cramps. A better source of vitamin B1 for pets is Bcomplex vitamins at a dosage of 1/4 to 1/2 of a 10-milligram pill per day. Chopped garlic cloves added to your pet's food also can repel fleas. One large clove a day is recommended for a large dog.20,25"

Has anyone tried this flea treats???
