Paper Shredder Risk

I get a enewsletter from Petplace.com and here is a terrible story about paper shredders.

Read the story here:

http://www.petplace.com:80/dogs/pape...ogs/page1.aspx

There is some advertisement in the middle of the story so just scroll down to read the rest.

OMG, that is HORRIFIC!!!! It literally brought tears to my eyes to think about that poor dog. I'm so glad she had a relatively happy ending.

To be honest I thought I was logging on a thread to read about the dangers of a dog shredding paper, and I was thinking how in the world am I going to stop Tessa from shredding paper???

That is such a scary story! It's so great that they were able to keep her alive, though, and help her through it. Thanks for the warning! I'm glad we shred things by hand now!

YIIKES!!!!!

Scary story and SO sad

We do have a paper shredder at the office, but Gucci has never shown interest in it since it is up higher out of her reach. It will stay up HIGH from now on too.

It is very sad.

I like to keep our shredder on so I don't have to turn it on when I want to use it. I get mad if DH turns it off.

Not anymore. I am keeping it off.

Marie,
Thank you for the warning. I'm so glad the story had a happy ending. After getting Hank, I think our need for the cross-cut shredder diminished -- we could essentially leave a pile of paper in front of him and he would be our Havanese™ branded shredder.

Yet another reason the get a Hav -- identity theft protection.

That is a scary story.

That's right just turn our papers to be shredded over to our havs - they will take care of it.
