Petzlife users

Those of you who have been useing it for a while now what have your results been? Teeth cleaner? Breath fresher? I read the thread about bad breath were it was recommended adn I am curious what the results are now that it has been several months. I am seriiously considering it. I have switched Lilly from Pro Plan back to Tast of the Wild and that has helped her breath had her anal glands done at the vets and had her teeth check and all check out fine. So yogurt and petz life are my next plan of action because I simply can not stand her bad breath any longer.

I haven't been very consistent lately with Petzlife, but when I use it and Oxyfresh (added to their water), their breath improves.

My dogs teeth have all gotten worse, but it is because I haven't been consistent with the Petzlife either because my dogs absolutely hate it. They will hide and eventually come because I have called them (and my dogs are good at obeying even when they try to hide behind Dad at first - LOL), but they immediately run off and try to wipe it out of their mouth.

They think any of the enzymatic toothpastes (Petrodex, C.E.T., etc.) are treats and love getting their teeth brushed, so I think I'm going to throw out my large bottle of salmon Petzlife and just go back to the old enzymatic toothpastes instead. At least those worked well AND the dogs loved it. It was an evening routine they really enjoyed, but I've ruined it by switching. Some dogs may like it, but not a single one of mine can barely even stand it.

I'm using Petrodex almost every day - except when I forget, Petzlife about once a week and Oxyfresh in her water. Salsa had some bad breath when she was losing her baby teeth. Her breath is good now, but I'm not sure if it is because of the hygiene products or that she's done teething. She also doesn't like the Petzlife and rubs her mouth on the ground, but she does tolerate it. She loves the Petrodex. I don't brush her teeth, just rub the products on her top back molars.

It worked when I used it consistently. I got lazy though and now am trying to get back into the habit. I agree with the others also--the dogs don't love it!

I use the doggy enzyme toothpaste Kissable in Vanilla from the Cain and Able collection every other day, and my vet says their teeth look really good. My boys love it and, if I do say so, they have fabulous breath (for dogs anyway! ) I also have the Petzlife oragel (salmon flavor) and the boys think the flavor and/or consistency sucks, but they will tolerate it if they get a treat afterwards.

Belle just let's me put it on her. While neither of my pups had bad breath it did help remove a lot of Belle's tartar build up on her gum line. Dora rolls around like a mad dog after you put it on her but she puts up with it. They both hate having their teeth brushed. Dash likes any attention for now

Just so you know, Kristin, I think the bottle says you shouldn't feed an hour before nor an hour after using the product. I guess it has to stay in the mouth undiluted by food for it to work well.

I've only been using Petzlife once or twice/week, but the best "toothbrush" I found was feeding them raw, meaty bones. Ricky had bad plaque, but about half of it is gone. Thing is, I can't feed him raw any more until we know what's going on with his liver.

I've been wondering about Leba III dental spray: http://www.lebalab.com/ It's pricey, but it looks like it works wonderfully. Anyone try this one?
