Does spayeing increase their appetite?

Since Lilly was spayed here appetite has increased. I am afraid that she is now going to start putting on weight. She is on Taste of the Wild -Salmon and EVO. I alternate days or meals.

Spaying did not increase Roxie's appetite. IS this a recent change of food? Perhaps Lilly likes her new diet!!!!

Bugsy's appetite didn't change (never a big eater) when he was fixed. I would weigh her weekly to see if the weight is changing and then make adjustments. How many times a day do you feed her and do you measure her food???

Capote's weight waws 11 lbs 14 oz when I took him to the vet to get neutered..he was 11 14 oz when I took him back this time for his check up, so no change..and his appetite hasn't increased. He's gotten more finicky when it comes to eating and we've had a couple 'fine, then starve' moments... but it's not affecting him thus far..

I will start weighing her. I normally put a cup of food in her bowl of the A.M. and she will not eat until that evening but now she wants breakfast, lunch, snach and then dinner. WOW and no I do not give her a cup at all of those times I still just put down about 1/2 cup in AM then a small snack if at all and 1/2 to 3/4 at dinner time. She just seems hunger all the time. I am just now starting her on EVO purchased it Thursday/Friday and working it into her schedule and system slowly I do not want any reactions. She has had EVO samples before and loved it then and now. I hope she isn't becoming a bored eater like my son I am having a time with him all I need is two bored eaters.

Katrina,

Evo is a great food, but it's higher in fat and colories than Taste of The Wild Salmon. Evo is 42% protein and 22% fat and Taste of the Wild is 35% protein (I think) and 15% fat. Make sure you keep it in mind and follow the feeding guide lines.
