Swelling after being spayed

We had Jasmine spayed on Wednesday and she seems to be doing well except her belly looks puffier today. She had the laser surgery and the vet said swelling should be minimal. It just seems to me that there is more swelling today than any other day. I am trying to keep her as "inactive" as possible but...we all know how Hav's are...there is no stopping them. Can someone calm my worries? Is there anything I can do for the swelling? Hot/cold ompresses? Thanks !!

One of my puppies was spayed a couple weeks ago, and her belly got "puffy" also. Called the vet and they said not to worry about it. She was still eating, running, playing and in a few days, the swelling went down and now she is just fine!
Hope this helps!

Roxie swelled around her incision site a few days after her spay.... not all around, but in a portion of the incision, sort of a puffy area. The vet had me bring her in and looked at it. She said it was most likely due to her being too active (bad hav mommy) and would go down. It did. If you're concerned call your vet... mine looked at Roxie's incision at no charge which suprised me since they charge for EVERYTHING and never want to answer questions over the phone either.

Thank you for your responses !! I certainly feel better knowing that others have experienced the same thing. I am sure she is just being too active which is causing the puffy look. Her incision looks great and she is eating a drinking without any problems. I guess I am just being a worried mom. She's my baby girl. I am going to put her Eagles onesie on her and try to get her to lay in bed with me to watch the game !!
