Question about the common health issues

We just got our new puppy a week ago, Stella is only 9 weeks old. We don't have any issues so far but I keep seeing common themes here like pancreatitis, UTIís, and other things. Are there common ailments for Havs that I need to look out for? Iím aware of the bone and eye issues but I keep seeing other reoccurring topics here.

Please let me know the symptoms I should look for to recognize the common sicknesses and what can be done to prevent them in the first place.

Keep in mind that when a problem comes up, people are going to post about it more than they will post about their every day joys. Posting about problems will appear to be unbalanced because that is when people want support, information, etc.

Bama, I assume you've taken your pup to your veterinarian for a well check. Is that correct? You'd probably best be served by asking him/her for any signs that should alarm you. Otherwise, enjoy the good stuff. Enough bad things will find you on your own. Keep your home safe (access to cords, poisonous plants, small objects, etc.), don't feed table scraps and keep one eye on your pup and you'll do just fine.

Don't feed Stella fatty foods. Do not give her the fat scraps from your steak. Or like hubby feel they need to eat what you eat and feed italian sausage. That should help you avoid pancreatitis. Not sure how to avoid some of the other aliments but I am sure Stella will be fine.

Blessings, Luna and the girls
