Question about loosing teeth?

Harley just lost 2 teeth this weekend. I have noticed that his breath has been a little bad? Could this have to do with his loosing teeth? Also, he has thrown up twice in the last 4 days. I didn't know if this is all teeth related. Otherwise, he is feeling great. He is eating, drinking, and very happy and playful. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Loosing puppy teeth doesn't cause bad breath or throwing up. Most the time, the owner has no idea a tooth is missing until they see an open space in the mouth. <grin>

I did notice that Tucker's breath was affected when he was losing teeth. It got better again when that stopped. He never threw up because of it, though.

I have only had one dog that got the really bad breath from losing teeth, but I've noticed a lot of other people commenting on their dog's bad breath when losing teeth. I don't know what causes that. (Kathy, you've never experienced that?? It's nasty.)

I have had many of my puppies get big globs of hair wrapped around their teeth when they are getting loose (and have another dog to play with), and that does stink.

I wouldn't think vomiting would be related to the losing teeth though.

Or the breeder points it out <grin>
She now has brand new 2 front teeth!

Gabby often has clunks of Lulu or Vinny's hair wrapped around her teeth. My poor bigger babies, lol.

Vinny, Lulu, Gabby and Richie too!

Thank you all! I thought maybe the bad breath was from his teeth. I'm glad to know that will go away. I'll watch his throwing up. Actually, I'm taking him to the vet to get "fixed" so I'm sure they will do a complete work up on him first. I'll let them know about him throwing up. Thanks again!

Both my girls get bad breath when they have upset stomachs.
