I pulled the nails out of mi dewclaws!

Si, I pulled the nails out of BOTH mi front dewclaws with mi tooths!!!! What does this mean? I have looked on the Internet and can find nothing about mi attempt at creative pawdicure. There is no bleeding, there appears to be no infection, and now that the task is done......I am looking for other challenges to shred.

Any ideas?

if there is an open sore, I would take him to the vet.

Well, the nails on mi dewclaws were getting quite long and Popi said to mi, "when we go in to have your nails trimmed, I will tell them to pay special attention to the dewclaw nails." I was chewing on the dewclaw area for a couple of days and I guess Popi thought I was just trying to groom some debris out of mi fur in that area. Next thing you know, the nails are gone from mi dewclaws, clean as a whistle!

Yeah, maybe I need a visit to mi vet.

My dog ripped his off somehow and it seemed okay so I didnt take him to the vet. It grew back in pretty quickly. My lab however split one of his nails somehow (not a dew claw) and I had to take him to the vet. They repaired it and he wore a bandage for a few days.
