At the time, I was wishing the judge would get on with it so he didn't grow bored or impatient, but watching it back I think it was helpful. He settled down more the longer he was on the table
What a good little boy! And you're right, I think that the judge going slowly with them really helped him to settle, both on the table, and while gating. He did much less bunny hopping, through the grass, and showed his nice gait so much better as time went on.

I also thought it was SO nice that she gave the other puppy a chance to show better by changing their position while gaiting. It didn't really help... he was too set on playing with his brother, but it was really nice that she tried it.

I also LOVE Nino's tail. I see so many little puppies with tight tails... and if they're tight as puppies, there's no where to go but tighter. Pixel's is tighter than I prefer, and I see a lot of Havanese with much tighter tails than hers.

Oh my. If that's the case, then Sophie's is going to pop right off her rump! LOL!

Yeah Nino you little star you. I think Nino did great. Both Nino and Frankie are just as cute as can be. I was giggling watching Frankie, he just wanted to play so bad. Loved it and congrats on his first win.

But she's a workin' girl... not a conformation dog. I chose Pixel in spite of her tight tail too... For her other good qualities. The tail isn't the whole dog or even the most important part. For me, good temperament, good health and straight legs come WAY before tails )

But if I had my druthers, I prefer a nicely arched tail where the tip just barely grazes the back bone. Kodi's is like that. Panda's appeared a BIT loose when she was younger, but usually if they are just a bit loose, they tip down nicely once they have the weight of hair on them.
