AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Junior of the Year
I am bursting with joy to announce what happened last night! This is Panda's little "cousin", Boodles, bred by Elizabeth O'Meara (Panda's breeder), and Ashleigh Rutzel (who showed Panda for me), and related to Panda. He is 16 months old and at the AKC Royal Canin National All-Breed Junior of the Year show, held in Orlando, Fla in conjunction with the AKC National Championship Presented by Royal Canin yesterday, he beat 931 dogs to be crowned Best in Show!!!
It would be awesome enough that he'd won Best in Breed or won the group. But to win Best in Show at that level? That never happens to Havanese!!! Way to go Boodles!!! <3 This is a really nice little dog, and it couldn't happen to nicer people Elizabeth has worked really hard to breed the best dogs she possibly can, in every way. Not only for show, but also in temperament and health. She also puts performance titles on her dogs. I am so happy to see her hard work rewarded in this way!

What an achievement - beautiful dog! I think I recognize Ashleigh from previous show videos I've seen on my breeder's facebook page. She's down at that show now, with some of her dogs, including Finley's dad.

Luv Bug's Designed To Impress, aka Gianni. We met him when we picked up Finley last weekend (which is when I set my purse down, forgot it, and had to return to the house an hour later....only me!)
