Two New Titles

We did it...both have completed their Rally Novice titles this weekend despite my handling...but it was a lot of fun. I just have to laugh at myself because the dogs did really well, but me, not so much. The errors made I didn't even realise until I read the score sheets and then I went WHAT!!! I completely messed up the call to front...123 steps backwards because instead of finishing left I did a circle instead "with both of them". I had never seen a sign with 4 stop signs before and got a tad confused. Both scores were 80 and both were in 3rd place for the class..but could have been better.

Last day the girl was finished and stayed home, so was just the boy and he was so good and I was thrilled with him. Then the score sheets "again" and we lost 10 points for an extra "sit". Obviously I can't count and this was news to me because I have no idea where it occurred (no video to watch to see where) but he finished second in the class of 8 and that was wonderful ...considering the poor little guy would have done way better without me in charge.

The judge after the girls finish had told me he felt I should move her up to advanced instead of wasting my entry fee and after mulling it over I chose not to...if the venue had been indoors I would have but off leash, outdoors in a non secure arena with a chance of escape , no thanks.

Looking forward to Rally Advanced, all winter to practice.

Congratulations! That's a big accomplishment, especially with 2 dogs! Riley's done so well in obedience class the trainer told us we should do Rally. A few weekends ago we went to a show that offered a practice run through of a Rally course. Riley did great, me not so much, even with someone walking me through it. I had thought it might be something fun for us to do, but I got very stressed.

TY Karen...I wish there was a video so I could see where I messed up but everyone I knew there was busy in other rings or had already left. My Mom was along and she thought she hit the wrong button on the camera and took a still pic.

TY...it is confusing at first and for me has stayed that way...lol. It is fun and I hope you try it some more and hopefully you won't get stressed. I don't get stressed I just make mistakes.

Yeah, sometimes you just can't find someone at the right time.

Now, you have to change your sig so that it shows your two wonderful doggies and their titles!!!
