Thumbs up Wonderful Auction Donations!

I have been trying to gather items for the HRI auction and have been so happy with how generous everyone has been!

There is a subscription for Modern Dog magazine, which is a really great, upscale magazine, if you've never seen a copy.

There's a basket containing special made treats, all natural toothpaste, toothbrush, Bark 2 Basics Honey and Almond Shampoo and a Flossy Chew rope toy from my groomer, Ann, at Pawtastic.

There's a package with HyLiderm shampoo, a DVD about your pet, a package of eye wipes, a package of tushee wipes and a stuffed monkey toy from my great vet, Dr. Rupert.

Today I got 2 big bags of goodies from a fabulous local E company, www.SitStay.com. Everyone check them out!
The bags contained 2 Plush Puppy Egg Babies, stuffed dinosaures with replaceable "egg" squeakers, 3 Outward Hound Fold-a-Bowls, 2 West Paw "Hurley" toys, 12 Tuff Ball mini tennis balls, 10 Glo-n-Go light reflecting collars by Noz2Noz, 2 Glo-n-Go 6" leads, 6 clickers, 6 canned food lids and 6 things that I'm not sure what they are. They look like retractable pointers with little yellow balls on the tips.

I've already sent quite a few items to Charlene, but am also adding a pet drying towel, scoop bags on a roll with a dispenser on a clip, Spa white tea facial scrub, some cute doggie magnets, a "Desperate Housedog" charm and a small Sherpa that I hope someone will be able to use to bring home a new puppy!

I was just so excited about these new additions that I had to share. Thank you everyone for your generosity!

Everyone attending the National, don't forget those $$$ on Thur night at the HRI reception for the auction!

Sounds great, Beverly!! I'm going to see if the store owners where I work might have some things I can bring down for auction. I'll be asking today or tomorrow, but not sure if they can provide. They do collect things for local shelters, so maybe.... How late can I let you know IF I have some things?

New puppy? I want to bring home a new puppy from the National, now if only the little boy I have been obsessing over would be there and old enough to come home with me sigh.

Well Marj, I hope I'm not stepping on toes here, but I think if you get something and can bring it with you before Thur night, they could get it in the auction.

I haven't heard back from Charlene, so I'm a bit nervous. Has anyone else communicated with her recently?

Can't wait to see you there Marj!

Beverly, I've also emailed Charlene and haven't heard back. I need to get her the Havanese tee I painted since it looks like I'm not going to be able to come to the National afterall- I was planning on bringing it with me. Anyone coming through Raleigh,NC on their way to Richmond? Jocelyn

Hey guys, I have been in touch with Charlene. Did you need specific instructions ?? I am sure that if you are going, you can bring it with you, she did ask that the items be to her as early on Thursday as possible. Priide with your item an index card describing your item. Unless you are senhding odds & end items to fill baskets. Then she would prefer them earlier.,

Jocelyn, you can mail the T to me aloing with those other items we talked about via email. I also am involved in the HRI raffle as well as the HCA one. I promise that if I cannot go (which I will fight tooth & nail) I will overnight your items to Charlene.

I hope this helps!

Hi Laurie, got an email back from Charlene- she is leaving 7:00am Monday, so I'll need to fedex to her tommorrow. There wouldn't be time for you to overnight if you were not able to go unless it went to the hotel instead of to Omaha. Since I'm working tomorrow-I'll try to sneak out at lunch to send it. I won't be able to get yours out tomorrow, but you'll have it before you leave. I sent you back an email- let me know if the doctor says you can't go and we'll make other arrangements. Hope you get good news from him. Jocelyn
