Laser fun

Puppy came to the shop with me the other day. I have a Bosch measuring laser I was setting up and wanted to see what he would do being he has never seen one. This is not his toy and this is for fun only so don't go off the deep end about lasers please. It is not a routine for him. Just a funny video. I did a little blues jam with it for kicks.

its best not to encourage lasers around pets.

See above post......I am NOT in any way condoning lasers. I just wanted to see what he would do one time. He seldom comes to the shop either.

sorry , I don't see why you need to post it here. If you know it's not a good thing to do , why do it. It's not funny. Why Laser Toys Can Be Bad News for Your Pet

Ok. I was calibrating measuring laser and he saw the dot and followed it. It was the first time he ever saw anything like that in his life. He has never played with it again nor has he seen it. We just thought it was cute the way he pawed and chased it up the wall. It was a foot or more out in front of him the entire time and was never on his body. We filmed a bit of it and I decided to sit down one night and play a blues rift jam to add to the video. Just trying to give people a little bit of a laugh.....sorry for the offending post.

Moderators: you have my permission to take this thread down ASAP as to not offend any more of the PC Police.

the reason I speak out against this sort of thing is that we don't need to see these in any form. People think they are harmless. The same goes with people posting "shaming" videos of their so called guilty looking dogs. As a member of professional organizations , I feel obliged to speak out against these sort of things.

You have spoken your peace. I have obliged and asked the moderators to take it down. Sorry for the offense. I think there should be a video moderator to approve all messages and videos before they are posted to make sure everyone is ok with them being posted. Maybe my mirror video should be taken down as well since it may have made our puppy feel bad about barking at himself. Fault can usually be found in anything that is done and most of us can find fault within ourselves. Sorry to disappoint you, but to your dismay not everyone on here is as perfect as others think they are. Good day....

I don't think it should be taken down. It's educational. My in-laws used to do this all the time with their Coton (who lived to 16 years of age.) I didn't realize it was a bad thing to do until now. By the way, I don't have a pup yet. That will be Friday.j
