We're getting a Hav!!!

2 MORE WEEKS! And we're bringing our little sweetie home. The breeder has been sending us photos as he grows up (we picked him out 2 weeks ago) and he is SO CUTE! I am sure I am going to drive everyone absolutely crazy with my adoration of this little fellow. But I am also scared to death - I have not had a dog since I was a kid!

And we can't all agree on a name!! Any places to look for great Havanese name ideas? We're run through the Cuban names and can't seem to agree on one. My daughter likes the name Huey, but it doesn't have any distinctive constanants. Somehow 'Here, Huey', seems too soft sounding.

This is my first post on this forum, but I'm sure not the last!

I hope it's not a LONG 2 weeks! Congratulations! I'm new too. Just got my first Havanese in January. Our family of 4 could not agree on a name either. We had him several days until it just clicked & everyone liked it. Rudy he is. So don't worry, it will come and fit his little personality.

Before you spend too much time trying to figure out what MHS is, (I thought is was a food supplement for a while ) (are you seasoned veterans laughing yet?) from newbie to newbie......Multiple Havanese Sydrome. I'm already looking for another! They are truly contagious and life changing little friends. I also love this forum. I've learned a lot just reading what everyone writes. The pictures are great too, I've gotten some fun ideas for Rudy. ie: swimming pool in the back.

Smiles,
Cindy

Thanks everyone!
I saw the name Teo somewhere (I think pronounced Tio) which I think is cute. Is Reo pronounced rio? We also thought of that, and I like that too. Or Rico, which has the first three letters of our last name - cute. I guess 2 syllables is better? Pepito is cute, but no interest from my 15 year old. I will post pictures when I can!

Congratulations on your upcoming bundle of joy! It's such an exciting time while you wait and seems like it takes forever but it goes fast. It's great that your breeder is sending you a lot of pictures. You can watch this sweet one grow. I'm so superstitious that I didn't post about dogs I got until they were in my arms. I should get over that, huh? Maybe there's hope for me yet
Can't wait to see pictures of your new family member.

I read your posts on trying to figure out a name for Austin. Since I got here after you already named him I was giggling as I read them. That was cute
