I like to give my dogs pumpkin or squash puree in their food but today I saw frozen butternut squash tidbits at the grocery store. That would be easy to toss into their bowls. Do you think it still has benefits for the dog's digestion if it is raw and unpureed?

I freeze canned pumpkin in ice cube trays and take out a cube at a time for Molly. She likes it frozen or thawed. I would think the frozen squash would be fine too.

I did some more reading up and I think the raw pumpkin or squash will be too hard on her stomach. I cooked up the bag of frozen squash tidbits and then re-froze them. She loves the little frozen squash chunks in her food bowl and I am trying to stuff them in the mini puppy kongs to keep her busy chewing on appropriate items.

I cook the squash and then put it in a food processor.
