Anyone use a heated dog pillow for their has?

Has any one used a heated dog pillow for their senior dogs? Django has never been one to burrow under blankets but I have noticed lately when I cover him with a blanket he doesn't move. I think he likes the warmth. I was thinking about getting him a heated pillow especially now that the weather is getting colder by the day.

I haven't, but Django has some health issues that might be comfortable for him. I'd be a little concerned indoors, though, that it might get too warm. What about one of those doggy beds that have a kind of tent shape to them that would work much the same way as actually covering him up?

Your right about his health concerns, I was going to talk to the vet about it.

I just went to a pet expo and saw a great idea. A vendor was selling quilted flannel pet crate liners that had a first aid Mylar blanket inside. The blankets reflect body heat so would do the same thing as a heating pad without worrying about electric cords etc. If you have an existing liner or dog bed with a zipper you could just place the Mylar blanket inside the liner after trimming it to fit. The Mylar blankets aren't expensive and are easy to get at any hardware store. I'm definitely going to give this a try with my senior dog.

Hey i know of heated dog beds which are great for the cold but are also therapeutic if the dog has problems with the joint and muscle problems as well as anthritis. Am thinking the dog pillows function in the same way? I think they are also a great idea if indeed they provide comfort.
