Do you buy Christmas gifts for your dog?

I was telling a friend of mine who does not have a dog that I always put a few presents under the tree for Django. She thought I was nuts. Do you put gifts under the tree for your pooch?

Our dogs always get a stocking on the mantle. This is what they have asked Santa for this year.

Molly is getting a stuffed squirrel this year but will probably enjoy shredding some wrapping paper more than anything else!
Sheri and gateau like this.

If I did have a Christmas tree and presents under the tree, Teddy would probably get a present too. Although I suspect he would open everyone's presents as soon as we walk out of the door then pretend a burglar come in to open the presents!

Non pet owners find it strange to understand why pet owners consider pets as part of the family. I still get laughed at when people find out that I paid for a nutritionist for Teddy and that his grocery bill is higher than mine!

Your dogs must be incredibly well behaved to sit around a Christmas tree with presents and not get tempted to open them (or try relocate the tree to another part of the house!).

Always have always will. My parents did too. They had a Maltese that opened his own gifts and his gifts couldn't be put under the tree till xmas morning because he sniffed them out amongst all the other gifts and would open them before xmas morning. He always got a squeeky type toy and a treat type gift. He was like a little kid on xmas morning. So cute.

They're (mostly!) just older than Teddy! The destructive stage DOES pass!
