Angry I'm just SICK!!

I already posted this on FB but I just can't stop thinking about it and I need my forum family's feedback!
I just found out that a person I USED to like has a history of poisoning neighbors dogs and cats. If the dog barks too much or a cat pees in her yard she either drives it away or poisons it! Her adult daughter told me and after knowing this kook for a while now I believe the daughter.
I just don't understand how someone can be so evil. What the hell gives her the right to take an animals life??? What could be going through her head???
Is that entitlement at it's worse? Narcissim? Just plain evil?? What makes a person so evil???
I'm just so upset!!

Vinny, Lulu, Gabby and Richie too!

Be yourself, everyone else is taken.

Carole- it must be in the air this week as ever since hearing this story, I can't get it off my mind. This bizarre story happened in South Carolina and was on the radio the other day. Just imagine how you would react if you went outside and heard your dog yelping and there was someone hitting it with a hammer and machete?

Carole, honestly, I don't think it's cruelty on their part. I think the act is cruel and I most definitely would not want to be around a person like that, but I also think that some people are just taught that animals are "things" and can be discarded as they see fit. I've encountered this before in more people than I care to remember.

Having said that, I never ever trust a person who doesn't like animals. It's one thing to be allergic and/or afraid but it's quite another to hate an animal. My mom always said that I should never marry anyone who didn't like animals and I apply that rule to people I meet too. I don't want to be around anyone who can treat animals like they're dispensable.

Amanda, I'm not even going to take a look at that link. I am already outraged! Carole, I would be just as livid as you are, hon!! My gosh, I'm livid at things much less offensive than actually poisoning animals to get them out of your yard. Seriously. How crazy is that? Obviously she's someone who has never loved a pet, though I know some people out there that would do things to a cat that they would call criminal if done to a dog ! ..... and vice versa I'm sure.

She is sick and heartless (IMO), Carole. How sad for you to know this "friend" has done such heinous things to poor defenseless animals. Like Lina said, some people just view animals as "things" that have no feelings and are dispensable.

How much of a friend is she? Daily talking? If so, I would let her know there is someone in the neighborhood poisoning cats and dogs and see what she does or says.

In fact, I would let the entire neighborhood know there is someone in the neighborhood poisoning cats and dogs (Print up a flyer and take to the door and stick in with the door knob.)

Just thinking about this makes my stomach turn. When I was a kid, my girlfriend's big brother was a cat torturer. He had dogs and a squirrel as a pet, but used to torture cats. And now he is a nurse. I was in the hospital with a flu/stomach virus thing and you can only imagine my horror at waking up to see him as my nurse. I don't understand people. But Lina is right, some see animals as discardable things. Although why you would take someone else's "thing" is also a mystery to me.

Carole, I think this is cruel. The lady should call animal control or take them in herself if the owners are not keeping them up...but to poison a dog is evil..IMO

Carole, you could report her. It must be against the law! It really blows when people you think you like turn our to be freaks.

I agree with Lina that there are a lot of people who think of Animals as things. But poisoning someone else's pet is just evil. It shows no respect for other people as well as animals. She must be a person who can't be bothered with anything but her own comfort and convenience.
