Amazing wealth of information

Hi! I'm Sally and am owned by Murray. We believe Murray is a Havanese/Bichon Frise based on what his previous owner told us and what our vet thinks.

From what I am reading here and what the vet thinks, he shows very typical behavior and characteristics of a Hav. I think I'm in love with this breed!

Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you for this wonderful forum and sharing your wealth of experience and information on these amazing dogs. I've been spending hours here reading through all the threads over the past few weeks.

Best regards~
Sally & Murray (and Chica the lunatic terrier)

Welcome Sally, Murray and Chica!

I did the same thing, I read as much of the information on here as I could before I got Piper. It's really helped me with her and I'm sure you'll find the same.

Thank you all for the warm welcome here and over in the coffee shop introduction thread. I'm so happy to have found this site. I'm sure Murray will appreciate my understanding his needs better as I learn from all of you.

Thank you all! We think he is quite the looker.

He is very much the ultimate people/companion dog. He follows me everywhere and if I'm not here, he sticks to my husband like velcro. He has adapted to his new home in an amazingly short period of time. We were a bit worried about that, but the only issue was us trying to put him in the crate his prior mom said he slept in. He broke the door off about midway through the first night and made his way to our bedroom door! He was laying outside it when hubby went to the bathroom in the wee hours, so he let him into our bed and he has slept there every night since then, lol....

We aren't sure what his full story of his first two years of life is, but we are incredibly grateful to have him. We lost our 15 year old yorkshire terrier to kidney disease this past summer and he is doing an admirable job of filling the gap now that she is gone.

Did I mention he has one blue eye and one brown eye? Is this common in Havs?

Sally~

Two differently colored eyes-not common that I know of. That makes him extra handsome!

Oh, Sally -- Murray looks sooooo huggable! Welcome to the Forum. And you MUST post pictures that show his different eye colors. That is very cool.
