My Dog

I have never been a dog owner before? Do dogs adapt to your own mood and do what you want to do. For example, if i am watching television or on the computer, will my dog sit with me OR will he like run all over the place and want to play?

Sorry, I know I am very stupid with this.

Depends on the personality of the dog. A couple of my Havs want to sit in my lap when I sit on the couch. I have one that wants to play fetch over and over and over and over when I sit on the couch- and my babies just want to play alllll the time!!

Have you read any of the books by Cesar Milan? He has some wonderful words of wisdom for adding a dog to your family. I highly suggest his books for anyone considering a dog. Your local library will likely have copies of them.

I have found that with Havee, if we are active he is also, if we're lazy, so is he. He goes with the flow. Never is he clingy though. A lap dog he is not! He needs his own space. He's always near, but never right next to us.
