When to get teeth cleaned?

I am curious when I should be thinking about Moxie's first teeth cleaning. Anyone? Also how effective is that anesthetic free cleaning?

I would recommend using Petzlife gel and spray before going for teeth cleaning unless it is critical and your vet recommends it immediately.

I was not able to pay as much attention to Benji and Lizzie's teeth with consistency for last several days. The tartar and plaque had increased. I started using Petzlife twice daily (spray in the morning, gel at night) since last two weeks and the tartar and plague has reduced significantly. I would also recommend adding Oxyfresh in drinking water. I give them Merrick's flossies to chew on every other week or so.

Good luck!

Best, Poornima

I agree. Sabine at Better Dog Care really doesn't recommend anesthesia free cleaning. They can't do it properly and some dogs can aspirate this way.
